The Photographers' Gallery at Great Newport Street, in the heart of London - the home of serious Photography in the UK. If you are into art photography, wherever you live, whenever you visit the capital you try and get to The Photographers' Gallery.
While many UK photographers aspire to having their work exhibited here the limitations of space and the need for international coverage mean that very few get that opportunity. Something worth relecting on, over a cup of tea and a slice of cake in the gallery's excellent cafe. The bananacake website is the result - a dedicated online space for UK art photography. This website will exhibit what we'd like to see at The Photographers' Gallery.
We hope creative photographers will want to show their work here and that the site will be well received and will engage an informed audience. Online April 2005.
